Before training as a LighterLife Mentor, I worked in a small retail boutique, above which my clinic is now based. My days on the shop floor were spent helping dress and style women, and many wanted help dressing to cover up what was beneath the clothes – myself included! Realising that my help was only a short-term fix, I realised I could be a great deal more useful to people if I could offer them permanent solution and help then get rid of their weight for good. This is when I decided to become a LighterLife Mentor.
After speaking to many ladies and indeed trying every possible diet and eating plan I could find, LighterLife ticked the most boxes for me: no encouragement to overeat, no public weigh-ins to face, one-to-one support and a telephone counselling group which plays a massive part in getting to the core food issues and helping you change for good.
I am here to help, in a confidential, non-judgemental manner – heck, I have battled with my weight for many years, so I’m right with you! I will support you through your journey and take great delight in shouting YOU DID IT! With my support, you can be the person you used to be or have always dreamed of being.
I offer weekly mindfulness sessions at my free Xpress Slimming Clubs as well as more in-depth small group counselling at selected centres or on the telephone. This helps you learn weight-management skills while you’re losing weight by changing the way you think and behave around food and drink.
